Summer 24 Dates
Although we’ve just held our winter ball and haven’t quite reached the shortest day yet, we’re already thinking about dancing next summer. Here are some dates for your diary.
Summer classes
Summer classes will run from 8th April until 27th May 24 (excluding the public holiday on 6th May). This year four different teachers will be putting us through our paces:
- Zsofia Joszef will take the class on the 8th and 15th of April
- Agnes Leighton will take the class on the 22nd and 29th of April
- Bill Austin will take the class on the 13th, and 27th of May
- Margo Priestley will take the class on the 20th May
Summer dancing
Summer dances start with the Dunfermline Picnic Dance on Wednesday 26th June in the Glen Pavilion. The band this year will be James Coutts and we will again be supporting Dunfermline Foodbank.
Two weeks later, the Dunfermline Branch summer dance season gets underway. We’re back in Abbeyview Community Centre again. This might be the old Abbeyview centre or the shiny new one that is currently under development, we’ll keep you posted. Meantime, here are the 4 dates and bands that we have booked.

- Wednesday 24th July 2024 – David Anderson
- Wednesday 7th Aug 2024 – Matthew Maclennan
- Wednesday 21st Aug 2024 – Phill Jones
