The Branch has encouraged Scottish Country Dancing for children and young people for many years, through children’s classes in Dunfermline and Rosyth as well as supporting the Fife Schools SCD Festival and schools teacher training.

Currently, the Branch has one children’s class based in Rosyth, which runs on Saturday mornings during school terms.  The class is suitable for a wide range of ages, from age 5 up to secondary school ages.

Beyond the class, our class members have been involved in a wide range of additional activities, including:

  • RSCDS dancing Medal Tests
  • Attending the annual spring Children’s Ball, organised by RSCDS Edinburgh Branch
  • Attending a children’s Dance Workshop as part of the RSCDS Spring Fringe activities
  • Demonstrating dances alongside the adult Branch demonstration team in Princes Street Gardens
