Postponed return to Dunfermline dancing in 2022

Published by Amy Drysdale on

As you may know by now, new Scottish Government guidelines came into place on 26 December, which restricted indoor non-professional sports activities. As a result, under the new guidelines and under direction from SportScotland, we are unable to start the Spring term on 10 January as previously planned.

Given the rising case numbers in Scotland and the potential for extensions to those restrictions, the Branch Committee have taken the decision that no RSCDS Dunfermline Branch dancing activities will take place until at least Monday 21 February 2022. The Branch Committee have a scheduled meeting on 6 February 2022 so will review the situation at that time and update dancers accordingly.

After three enjoyable months of dancing together again, we are disappointed that we will be unable to restart again in January as planned. Our first priority as ever however is the safety of our dancers, teachers and musicians, and we are sure you will understand why we are taking a cautious approach.

Thank you for your support, and we very much hope to see you back on the dance floor soon.
