Winter Classes
The branch runs a general class in the Dell Farquharson Centre, Netherton Broad Street, on Monday evenings from 7:30pm-9:30pm. This class is suitable for dancers who have a grasp of SCD steps and formations. For the 2010/11 session, live music will be provided by Iain Gent.
This winter we are be running an introductory class from 7:30pm-8:30pm, also on Monday evenings in the Dell Farquharson Centre. This class is suitable for complete beginners or for "returning" dancers who would like to boost their confidence before joining the general class. Our aim is to teach the steps and formations that you will need to join the general class. We hope that by the end of the first term you will be staying on for the second part of the general class, though the class members will welcome you and help you through the dances from week 1!
Classes are taught on a rota basis by the qualified branch teachers to ensure a variety of different teaching styles and dances. This winter the general and introductory classes will be taught by Alison Austin and Sandra Welch with guest appearances once a month from other teachers in the branch.
